Be Rescued In God's Truth
Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family.
So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sister.
Hebrews 2:11
The devil is brilliant in pulling us away from Jesus by making us feel ashamed of him.
Our children are assaulted heavily in school, in educational media, and by fantasy movies that give the idea that life is better when you live for yourself. You can’t say the word Christmas, pray in the classroom, and you are not kind if you don’t think identifying as whatever gender or animal you want to be is okay.
Jesus rescues parents and children from fear of what others think by telling us how he feels about us.
HE is not ashamed of us.
This amazes me because he has every reason to be ashamed of me.
His love covers our shame because he was punished with separation from his own Father in our place. He died and rose to make us family.
His truth is powerful protection against the devil’s schemes for us and our children. They have to know how very much he loves them.
A Daily Prayer:
Dear Jesus, give us clarity to see the many ways the devil tries to take our children from you. Make them secure in your love for them so they are willing to face ridicule for their faith in you. Give us eyes to see what you see: that life is more than this day and is all about eternity with you. Forgive us for not leading our children to you, and inspire us by your Spirit to boldly and deliberately teach your truth to them. Amen.
