God’s Answer for a Fearful Heart

Jesus: Don’t be afraid

Me: How can I not be afraid? Oh God, I am so afraid. You know everything so you know how I feel. The threat of death. Guilt….

Honestly, sometimes I feel like you judge me.

Jesus: I came to save you, not condemn you.

Me: Wait! What?

Jesus: I didn’t come to this earth to condemn you. I came to save you.

Me: Save me?

Jesus: I love you. Whoever believes in me does not die. They live forever with me.

Me: So, you don’t judge me?

Jesus: I am judge. And I became the sin you are. I took the punishment of your sin for you.

Me: You did? What? Really? Why would you do that? I am so full of….yuck….

Jesus: I took the punishment for your sin when I died on the cross.

Me: The cross?

Jesus: The cross.

Me: That was horrible what you went through.

Jesus: I died because I love you with a perfect love. A love that has no conditions. Just believe. Let go of who you think I am and believe what I tell you. I want to be with you. now…and forever.

Me: taking it in

Jesus: I am with you. Right now. Forever. Don’t be afraid.

Me: I am so sorry for doubting you….for everything. If I get afraid, will you still stay with me?

Jesus: I am with you always, now and forever. That’s why I died for you. You are forgiven. You are safe.

Me: Wow! I mean…thank you, Jesus!

Jesus: I love you with an everlasting love.
