In Times Of Uncertainty God Is Here For Us

Jehoshaphat received news that a vast army was coming against the people of Judah.  The alarmed king “resolved to inquire of the LORD.” As he led God’s people in prayer, he said: “we do not know what to do……but our eyes are upon you.”

In these days of political, social, and health uncertainty, we know how Jehoshaphat felt as he prayed to God. We often don’t know what to do. And God loves for us to tell him that.

Every burden of every person is huge to him, even the agonies of a two-year-old who doesn’t get her own way.  God sent his Son, Jesus to die and rise so the vast army of Satan and sin and death have no power over us.

A Daily Prayer:
O Jesus, keep the eyes of my heart on you instead of on my circumstances. Give me a resolve to listen to you in your word and talk to you instead of listening to my own fears and anxious thoughts. Give me humility to lead my family to you instead of trying to play god, myself. Amen.
