See Today Through God's Eyes

We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

I learned that if you wear sunglasses while you are driving in the rain, you can see much better. The sunglasses cut the glare from the water mist so visibility is improved. Wearing glasses to see better is how I think of living by faith. God wants me to see my circumstances through the “Son-glasses” of faith in his promises, not my feelings. Then I can see the reality of his presence in my life instead of seeing my day through fear and worry.

Families have a lot more time together these days. I don’t think our older kids will ever forget this pandemic experience. They will remember the times that we were at peace in Jesus even in very difficult days. Those memories can be huge encouragements to their faith in the future.

A Daily Prayer:
Dear Jesus, give us power to see today through your eyes. Amen.
