Heal A Childs Suffering Through God's Word And Promise

He comes to the child who is bullied. He comes to the child who feels responsible for his father’s depression. He comes to the child who feels like a failure in every subject at school. He comes to the child who got drunk with friends he is desperately trying to keep. He comes to the child who is judged because she is shy.

He whispers in their hearts as we tell them his words:

I did not come to condemn you. I came to save you.

He comes to the lonely, frightened, prideful, guilty child in each one of us and tells us:
I did not come to condemn you. I came to save you.

We know because he tells us.

We know because he died to take the condemnation we deserve.

We know because he rose from the dead and gives us life forever with him.

We know because his Spirit reveals it to our hearts through his Word, through baptism.

A Daily Prayer:
O Jesus, My soul praises you for saving me. Help me to take time every day to get to know my children. Help me to see the hurts they have in their hearts. Give them faith in your promise that they are saved by you, not condemned. Amen.
