Trust in the Lord with all Your Heart

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6

I was listening to the radio today and it made my eyeballs cross! There are so many people passionately saying what they the truth is about the problems in our world. I was more confused and anxious after I listened to the latest news, than I was before. The real truth is that there is only one source of real truth: God. He is in control even when it seems he is not. I don’t have to trust my own assessment of things. I don’t even have to figure it all out. God knows the truth. I can trust him instead of my own understanding about what is going on. I can relax knowing he is active in saving souls and working for our good!

A Daily Prayer:
Dear God, give our families peace in you even in the hardest of circumstances. Help us to trust you and when we don’t forgive us. We are so grateful that you never stop loving us, no matter how afraid or upset we are. Thank you for making our paths straight with the truth that we are with you now and forever. Amen.
