Feel God’s Eternal Love Through Jesus

The one thing on Jesus’s heart for us is to know how much he loves us! I love how he says the Father lavishes his love. He richly and endlessly and faithfully loves us. There is nothing we can ever hope to do to earn His pure and divine love. It is simply and profoundly ours. The death of Jesus in our place made the way for us to be his children. God repeats that statement to make sure we get it: AND THAT IS WHAT WE ARE!

Right now, no matter what your circumstance is, you are God’s child, lavishly loved by the Father.

Think of all the times parents and children need to know that they are safely loved by our Perfect Parent:

When we are caught in a sin and feel shame and guilt.

When we are hurt by another person.

When we are disappointed.

When we are afraid.

When we are sick.

When we are full of despair

When we are full of pride.

When we have accomplished something epic.

When we look at a beautiful sunrise.

When we appreciate our home and family.

When we mourn because our family is broken.

There isn’t a minute of our life that goes by that we don’t need to know we are loved by Jesus.

His Spirit is actively reminding us of his Words in the Bible that say:
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

A Daily Prayer:
O Jesus, help me to trust that you have met my greatest need to be loved. Help me to see that need in my family and friends and speak the truth of your love to them. Amen.
